J-MO and Hood Hustlers opened up for Rapper TOO SHORT, who celebrated his 44th birthday that evening. The Venue was packed from the entrance all the way to the stage exit doors. True fans came out that night to show support and the ladies screamed as they threw their hands in the air towards the stage trying to grab each artist hands and pants legs. I had a chance to sit down with the young hype before the show. J-MO, is a tall handsome man with a strong business mentality. The transformation from Detroit to Los Angeles, has impacted his career in many ways.
Growth, knowledge in both the business and the music he writes all play a very important role in his craft. Discovering skills hidden now brought to the light, J-MO, now uses these tools to further his journey to success. Having the ability to link with different individuals and come together in a business fashion is a positive look. “All work and no play”, is a phrase I wouldn’t use to describe this group.
J-MO’s fans tells another story. Once the music started the crowd went wild! I could honestly say, The HoodHustlers enjoy being on stage living their dreams. Someone once said “You’ll never work a day in your life doing what you love to do. J-MO, took the stage with that D Boy swag and killed the stage with their performance.
