The Grammy Awards Best & Worst Dressed
Now I know ya’ll didn’t think I would give you a Grammy Awards show re-cap without letting you know who made my list for best and worst dressed. I guess this time, I’ll save the best for last, so we’ll begin with the worst dressed;
Lady Gaga- Can we say “attention”!! Lady Gaga walked down the red carpet in a very unique looking Armani number. I say she very much looked like a Christmas ornament, and at times Ms. Poker Face is just too over the top. I understand she wants to stand out, and diversify herself from the other ladies in the entertainment industry, but come on boo, it’s getting just a tad bit old. Not only was her red carpet attire eclectic (to say the least), but if you noticed what she sat through the awards show wearing, you would clearly see that her dress was holding her hostage. Some advice for Gaga, fire your stylist!
Rihanna- I like Ri-Ri, honestly I do, but her attempting to dress elegantly just doesn’t work. She looks to be greatly out of place in any evening gown, and looks like a “gothic” woman playing dress up. Maybe she should have her mentor Jay-Z hook her up with his wife’s stylist, and help this chick out because she really needs it.
Ciara- Who told her to start dressing in Rihanna’s gothic gear?! NEXT!!!
Now onto the best dressed;
Katy Perry- Her Zac Posen ensemble looked very chic and elegant on her. Even though Katy could have a very dark look (with her hair being black and skin being so pale), I love the way her stylist makes her look very feminine. She always looks very classic to me.
Taylor Swift- Normally Taylor looks like she’s dressed for her high school prom instead of award shows, but this time, I think she actually got it right. Her navy blue, floor length gown looked very elegant on her body type.
Pink- Her performance outfit was definitely one to see, but even though Pink is a “tough, rocker chick” the gown she walked the red carpet in was simply amazing! It complemented her hair color, and fit her body very well, considering how muscular she is.
Fergie- Sometimes Fergie can go a bit over board, but this time the “London Bridge” singer stayed in her lane. Her Emilio Pucci strapless mini was a hot look – short, tight and bright blue. It was definitely a dress I would wear to any event.
Beyonce’- This R&B diva knows what works for her. As long as her mother remains her stylist, she can never go wrong.
Jennifer Hudson- This dream girl finally got it right. Thankfully, her dress fit her correctly in all of the right places. At past award shows, J-Hud’s dresses always made her look pregnant, but the dress she wore down the red carpet made her look slimmer and more in shape.
